Hi Angie,

Check out products from The Neem Team in Caerphilly. I have used neat Neem oil on my wrist which had a nasty itchy rash caused by my leather watch strap. No problems since and very fast acting. I have also given my son Neem Oil products for his lower legs which have been badly bitten by cat's fleas and he reports a vast improvement after limited use! You can put Neem oil on the back of your cat's neck to ward off fleas which I intend to do instead of using products such as Frontline. I am also using Neem oil toothpaste (tastes nice!) - the product seems to have endless uses!

Kind regards

Marymary :)

Hi MaryMary...

I am there with you on the Frontline aspect, I stopped giving this to my cat years ago... something just felt wrong in applying it to my cat's fur! Touch wood, she seems ok, she's not a very sociable cat, so she doesn't seem to get bites so often these days... and I've not spotted fleas on her for years now... but if that changes, I'll bear the Neem Oil in mind :ok:

I've heard an awful lot about Neem, a very good nutritious oil. I have the same problem with jewellery, rings, ear-rings... leave them on too long and they start itching terribly... Necklaces are the worst offenders... and it doesn't matter if its cheap or expensive jewellery, it all has the same effect.
All my best,
Angie

Are you taking about some bad skin conditions? In that area I handle challenging skin conditions in some way. Lately, I have some problem in my skin specifically with my palm. I observe that and wait until what will happen to my palm. After some months I'm trying to remove it and as the few days come it disappear.

The nature of massage therapy means practitioners are constantly in contact with the client's skin, the largest and heaviest organ of the body. Accounting for 16 percent of our total body weight, it is invaluable as it protects everything underneath it from disease, chemicals, bacteria, injury and the elements.

But, as we age, the amount of collagen and elastic fibers in our skin diminishes, resulting in wrinkles and pigmentation changes. With maturity, our skin is also affected by the reduction of muscle mass, slower nerve impulse transmission and the loss of adipose tissue, allowing the skin to thin and tear more easily.

It is important for massage therapists to recognize and be sensitive to the changing nature and condition of a client's skin. Anyone can be affected by a skin disorder, but these issues are even more important for geriatric clients. Let's look at four common skin disorders, their visible symptoms and considerations to keep in mind when practicing massage therapy.
