Living Nature Lipsticks

Hello again,

In the past I have had living nature lipsticks from you, is there a reason why you no longer sell them on your site?

Hi Pam,

This was a shame, but Living Nature have been reformulating their new lipsticks. I am just waiting to see what they are like, more importantly, scrutinising their ingredients listing.

Unfortunately, their new lip glosses contain carmine (beetles) and due to our policy about carrying items that are cruelty free, we cannot stock these items.
More about carmine:
"Carmine may be prepared from cochineal, by boiling dried insects in water to extract the carminic acid and then treating the clear solution with alum, cream of tartar, stannous chloride, or potassium hydrogen oxalate; the coloring and animal matters present in the liquid are thus precipitated. Other methods are in use; sometimes egg white, fish glue, or gelatine are added before the precipitation".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmine

Also, their lip pencils contain hydrogenated oils – this is another ingredient we are very strict about and will not allow onto our site, let alone in products that can easily be eaten.
More about hydrogenated oils:
"Health concerns associated with the hydrogenation of unsaturated fats to produce saturated fats and trans fats is an important aspect of current consumer awareness".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogenation

We are always on the look out for really good products with the best ingredients. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused, but I hope you understand our viewpoint?
All my best,
Angie

Hello all

Do you know when you will be getting the living Nature lipsticks back? I have looked at the green people ones but they look a bit to garish for me.

Thank you for such a wonderful service

Hi there Poppyflower, thank you so much for your lovely feedback xx

There is still no sign of the Living Nature lipsticks, but I think they are still selling the old sort, at a discount... so you may still be able to find your favourite shade?

Also, I do have a rather lovely surprise, we have a new Make-up brand being programmed on our site, and it looks as though it will be available sometime tomorrow... I can tell you right now, we have 18 lovely lipstick shades to choose from, and I can say with confidence, I am very proud to be selling this brand! I will make an announcement on this Forum tomorrow when it is fully ready... xx
All my best,
Angie

Hi there Poppyflower, good news, we now have Nvey Eco Organic Lipsticks (Certified Organic) on our site... please do take a look at these... I haven't had a chance to even try them myself (yet!) ... since losing Living Nature, I have since run out of my own fave lipstick of theirs... and there is a very nice shade of Nvey's I'm eyeing up at the mo... I must try the sample stand out!! ... I'll let you know my feedback shortly, ie. regarding the quality and the feel...

Hi Rubi,

The closest match I can find (checking our tester stand here) is the 367 shade - it is 'quite' close.

Here is the link to this shade:
http://www.theremustbeabetterway.co.uk/ ... a1_21NE036
*please note I am working with a colour from our old living nature pictures, rather than the real shade of lipstick - comparing with the actual Nvey shade.

I hope this helps, a little?
All my best,
Angie
