Anyone knows solutions to acne problems?

Postby abul on Wed Mar 12, 2008 12:28 pm

I have been suffering from acne problems and sometimes they really get worse. I have tried many of the anti-acne products available but I am not satisfied with them as I feel that the results they give are just a matter of time. Can anyone suggest me a good remedy for this?

Anyone knows solutions to acne problems?

Hi Abul and welcome xx

I always suggest looking at diet in these cases. Lack of skin integrity is usually down to a nutrient lacking in the diet, such as essential fatty acids (cold pressed oils). What with an over-production of sebum (skin oil) this is (I find) the main cause.

How is your diet, is it rich in fruits and vegetables? Some of us are very unlucky and need to take extra care, effort and discipline with our diets than most ‘normal’ people. Unfortunately, there is no ‘quick-fix’ remedy cure… which I learnt the hard way!

Keeping a diary of the foods that make you feel good and skin appear healthy is a start, also list those foods that make your skin react more readily too.

Only in drastic cases would I suggest this product, Miessence Organics Purifying Blemish Gel. This really does reduce infections and prevents new ones from forming. Only use this blemish gel if you know you have no known sensitivities, as there are a lot of ingredients in this pot… usually when the skin is acting up in this manner, it can be susceptible to new allergies forming and using such a potent product as this blemish gel could be a little risky.

Use a very basic cleansing and moisturising routine, such as the products from the Weleda range: Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion and the Weleda Almond Moisture Cream.

Consider not using a toner for the time being, as less is best for the skin at this moment in time. Just a splash of water between cleansing and moisturising will help the skin recover much quicker.

Can I ask which products you use at the moment? As a very astringent cleansing product could cause more trouble than it is worth, which covers the general anti-spot medications available these days… these really shouldn’t be used as they compromise the skin’s pH balance, which results in the skin losing it’s wonderful natural ability to protect itself and can then be open to all sorts of infections/microbes.

You may also find this page of help too?

You may find that by incorporating many good habits into your diet and skincare routine will help overall. Our bodies are like jigsaw puzzles, all it takes is a piece to be missing, and this can have a terrible knock on effect throughout the rest of the body, and unfortunately it is the skin that shows this lack first and foremost.

I hope this helps?

through this and I am really happy to say that it was just a passing affair. I had tried a lot of remedies unless I used Clearly Gone. This product definitely suits your problem as you can see the results as you use it. This is just my opinion as I can feel your pain of being troubled by acne problems and would be happy that someone is relieved by the problem which had troubled me.

My sister used clearly gone and had absolutely shocking results, her whole face became raised and made the acne much much worse. So bad she became quite depressed about her life. Fortuitously our father lives in Italy and we both stayed with him for a couple of months. He is quite strict on good food and we eat very well with lots of fruit, veg fish and meat. Just being somewhere different made my sister relax and stopped focussing on her skin and after about 3 weeks her skin was looking much better. Now that we are back home the food isn’t as good but when spots appear she binges on fruit and after a few days all is good again. I really think miracle cure creams should be banned as it offers a promise to very vulnerable people who can give-up on life if it doesn’t work. Totally irresponsible. Is this product natural, my sister doesn’t think it is. Its was put in the bin a long time ago. Please think twice before you buy, its much easier to eat well and much better for you.

Hi Morgan and Sunnydays, welcome xx

I am very sorry to hear about your sister's experience Sunnydays... it is true, unfortunately, there is no quick fix. The body is so very amazing, the way every tiny part interacts and relies on another part... all it takes is a certain 'something' to be missing, and this can have such a terrible and incredible knock on effect - finding the root course of what is wrong can be so very frustrating, but worth the journey, honest!

Thanks for sharing Sunnydays.
All my best,
Angie

Hello Angie, Morgan and Sunnydays,

Sunnydays, I'm pretty sure that natural-based products should help you're sister with her facial and skin dilemna though I can tell that a positive self concept and healthy diet plays a very major role in maintaining and achieving a healthy glowing skin, I think you should not loose faith in cosmetics and skincare products. True some products cannot satisfy a customer's need and some others are just bluffing for the optimum benefit their products can give, but I personally think these products wouldn't be on sale or commercialized if they are ineffective or even worked on somebody who could testify for their products. Ineffectiveness or uselessness of a company's product spells NO PROFIT and LOSS, and I believe corporate people are not that dumb to sell this products just to see them fail. :D

Nonetheless, I think your sister's skin type should be determined and moreover be medically treated. If she's unsatisfied with the results of the products or even with her present skin state, I recommend she consult an expert or a dermatologist. God Bless, love the fruits they are healthy

A concentrated blend of the essential oils: lavender, chamomile and tea-tree with myrrh extract. To dramatically reduce redness and swelling and encourage disappearance of pimples. Apply directly to each acne spot, using a cotton bud. This product will enable acne to heal gentlely thereby leaving no scarring.

if you're mom and dad had an acne on their adulthood, you have more possibilities to get that problem ^^.

before you apply some facial or astringent to your face make sure you know the type of your skin if it's oily or dry. because all of us have different types of skin and it depends on treatment we use what is the most effective from all of us.
if you had an oily skin, try to make use facial wash for oily skin

but for me I frequently use mild soap or facial wash like dove facial wash or toner at night. ^^

hope it helps
